Coming up!…. Cookbook!!!

We will be beginning our Cookbook project next month!  Here is a quick reminder on the 411 of the project…

  • On the third Saturday of each month we will all get together and exchange pages.
  • The “host” will change each month, in February we will be gathering at my house.  Each month we will decide who will be next.
  • If you want, you can bring the recipe for us all to taste, don’t forget your take home boxes! :) But you don’t have to bring the recipe if you’d rather not or if you run out of time that week!  :)
  • Whoever is “hosting” can do a short demo of her page. And she can show her craft space so that we can get ideas for our own spaces!
  • Everyone will need to bring one completed page per cookbook of the same recipe. If you want to bring more thats fine, as long as everyone has one for their cookbook
  • Everyone will need to buy a Creative Memories 8×8 album, pages, and page protectors ( link at the bottom). We have researched albums and Creative Memories seem to have the best albums, pages and protectors. They hold up REALLY well, and after all the time and energy you put into your albums you don’t want them to fall a part! You can pick whatever color you want. With everyone having the same album it will make it easier to create pages, cuz if it fits in your album…. then it will fit in all the albums!
  • There is no right or wrong way to design your page! Use whatever products you want! Have fun and be relaxed!
  • Almost forgot… Feb is Appetizers! March will be side dishes the rest is TBA.

Leave a Comment at the bottom to join this project…

REMEMBER Feb. 20 at 10am @ my house ! If you are unable to make this time let me know and we will work something out! The date and time are negotiable so let us know if a different day of the week or time is better for you.

Also, if you’d be interested in setting a day to get together to brainstorm a design or just to work on pages together let me know!! I would love to!

“a scrapbooking journey through loss & healing”  its all about scrapbooking loved ones we’ve all lost. I’ve been wanting to start a scrapbook about my Grandma that we lost in 2007.  My sisters and I were very close to her, we have LOTS of pictures and MORE stories and memories about her. Im just not sure Im quite ready to start it. But I think I can get some ideas from this awesome blog!

Got this idea from Ali Edwards blog…. http://aliedwards.typepad.com/_a_/

Think Pink Card

here is a “Think Pink” card. The sentiment I got from one of the Two Peas in a Bucket Free Digital Kit that I had downloaded. In PhotoShop I made a canvas the size of my cardstock, and placed “Think Pink” where I wanted it to print at. In this case, the card is a vertical (or portrait) card, the fold is at the top, instead of the side like traditional cards. So, I laid it out in PS and then put my Kraft CS in my home printer and printed. Very easy! Then I took some paper from Creative Memories and picked 3 shades of pink. I had some masking tape laying on my desk ( I don’t know why?) so I used it to make a circle on the paper to guide me as I tore it. then I used some glossy accents to adhere the button. then I used my corner chopper on the bottom corners and then outlined the card with a white gel pen.  Kinda crazy… there is no stamping on this card!

hello, my name is Tania
